Obv: An ancient gateway. Over the entrance ABBEY GATE BURY.
Rev: An open book. PAYABLE AT RACKHAMS CIRCULATING LIBRAY ANGEL HILL BURY.
Edge: OR AT LEATHERDALES . X . HARLESTON NORFOLK
Notes: Interesting spelling and placement of the word "Library". John Rackham, who was a printer, had his circulating library opposite the Abbey Gate, Bury.
